Saturday Mar 22, 2025
Saturday Mar 22, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 17-26, where God calls His people to live set apart, trust His provision, and walk in obedience. These chapters emphasize that holiness is not just about rules—it’s about a life fully devoted to God. Join us as we reflect on the Year of Jubilee, the blessings of obedience, and the power of trusting God’s timing, even when life feels uncertain.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 17-20 – God gives laws on worship, moral conduct, and purity, calling Israel to avoid the sinful ways of the nations around them.
Leviticus 21-22 – Instructions for the priests, who were called to model holiness and offer sacrifices in a way that honored God.
Leviticus 23-24 – The appointed feasts teach Israel to remember God’s faithfulness, while keeping the lamps burning in the tabernacle symbolizes His continual presence.
Leviticus 25 – The Year of Jubilee commands rest for the land, forgiveness of debts, and freedom for slaves, reinforcing that God is the ultimate provider.
Leviticus 26 – God lays out the blessings for obedience and the consequences of disobedience, reminding His people that their choices matter.
Through these chapters, we see that holiness is not about legalism, but about living in full trust and obedience to God.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee required radical trust in God’s provision, teaching that everything ultimately belongs to Him (Leviticus 25:23).
Walking in Obedience – God promises blessings, security, and His presence to those who walk in His ways (Leviticus 26:3-12).
Finding True Rest – The Sabbath rest for the land symbolized reliance on God rather than striving in human effort (Leviticus 25:4-6).
Devotional Application: "Trusting God’s Timing and Provision"
Have you ever struggled with trusting God’s timing? Maybe you’ve been waiting for an answer, a breakthrough, or provision—and it feels like God is moving too slowly.
The Year of Jubilee was a radical act of faith. Imagine being told to stop working the land for a full year and simply trust that God would provide. Fear and doubt must have crept in:
What if there wasn’t enough food?
What if letting go of debts meant financial ruin?
Yet, God promised:
“I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.” – Leviticus 25:21
Here’s the heart of today’s message: God’s provision is always enough, and His timing is always perfect.
We may not have a literal Year of Jubilee today, but we are still called to trust God’s provision over our own plans. Jesus affirms this in Matthew 6:33:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
So, what are you holding onto that God is asking you to release? His faithfulness never fails, and when we surrender control, we step into the freedom and provision He has already prepared.
Reflection Prompts:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee reminded Israel that everything belongs to God. In what areas of your life do you struggle to trust His timing and provision?
Walking in Obedience – Leviticus 26 highlights the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. How can you align your daily choices with God’s will to experience the fullness of His blessings?
Finding True Rest – The Sabbath rest was a reminder that God is the provider. Are you making space for regular rest and reliance on God, or are you striving in your own strength?
Teaser for Next Week’s Readings: Leviticus 27 - Numbers 8
Next week, we wrap up Leviticus and move into Numbers, where we see God preparing His people for their journey ahead.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Leviticus 27 – Final instructions about dedicating things to the Lord.
Numbers 1-4 – The census of Israel, their organization, and preparation to follow God’s leading.
Numbers 5-8 – Laws for purity, the Nazirite vow, and God’s blessings over His people.
These chapters show that God is always preparing us for what’s ahead, just as He prepares us today for the seasons He’s leading us into.
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! God’s provision is always enough, His timing is always perfect, and His blessings come when we trust Him fully.

Leviticus 25-26 | Trusting God’s Timing and Blessings
Friday Mar 21, 2025
Friday Mar 21, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 25-26, where God introduces Sabbath rest, the Year of Jubilee, and the blessings of obedience. These chapters remind us that God’s timing, provision, and faithfulness never fail—and when we trust Him fully, He provides everything we need. Join us as we discuss how to surrender control, walk in obedience, and rest in God’s perfect plan for our lives.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 25 – God commands Israel to observe a Sabbath rest for the land every seven years and a Year of Jubilee every 50 years. This time of restoration and renewal ensured debts were forgiven, land was returned, and people were set free.
Leviticus 26 – God lays out the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience, showing that true security comes from following His ways.
These chapters emphasize that God’s plan is always best, and trusting His timing leads to freedom and blessing.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee was a powerful reminder that everything belongs to God, and He will provide in His perfect time (Leviticus 25:23).
Walking in Obedience – God promises abundance, security, and His presence to those who follow His commands (Leviticus 26:3-12).
Finding True Rest – The Sabbath rest for the land symbolized dependence on God’s provision rather than striving in human effort (Leviticus 25:4-6).
Devotional Application: "Letting Go and Trusting God"
Many of us struggle with letting go of control—whether it’s over our finances, future plans, or daily responsibilities. The Israelites faced a similar challenge: every seven years, they had to stop farming their land and trust God to provide. Imagine the faith that required!
The Year of Jubilee was even more radical—it meant releasing debts, setting slaves free, and restoring what had been lost. Why? Because God wanted His people to know that their security came from Him, not their own efforts.
And the same is true for us today. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” When we put God first, He takes care of the rest.
So today, let’s stop striving and start trusting. Let’s surrender our plans, embrace His timing, and rest in His faithfulness.
Reflection Prompts:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee reminded Israel that everything ultimately belongs to God. In what areas of your life do you struggle to trust His timing and provision?
Walking in Obedience – Leviticus 26 highlights the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. How can you align your daily choices with God’s will to experience the fullness of His blessings?
Finding True Rest – The land’s Sabbath rest was a reminder that God is the provider. Are you making space for regular rest and reliance on God, or are you striving in your own strength?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! God’s provision is always enough, His timing is always perfect, and His blessings come when we trust Him fully.
Next week, we’ll wrap up Leviticus 27 and transition into Numbers, where we’ll see how God leads His people through the wilderness.
Until then, keep your faith strong, your heart surrendered, and your Bible open. See you next time!

Leviticus 23-24 | Remembering and Reflecting God's Light
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we dive into Leviticus 23-24, where God establishes sacred festivals and reminds His people of their call to be a light in the world. These chapters show us how intentional rhythms of worship and obedience help us stay connected to God and reflect His holiness. Join us as we explore how we can honor God’s presence in our daily lives and shine His light in a world that needs Him.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 23 – God establishes the appointed feasts for Israel, including Passover, the Feast of Weeks, and the Day of Atonement. These were holy days of rest, worship, and remembrance that pointed to God’s faithfulness and provision.
Leviticus 24 – Instructions about keeping the lampstand burning continually in the tabernacle, symbolizing God’s presence among His people. This chapter also includes a warning about misusing God’s name, reinforcing the need for reverence and obedience.
These passages emphasize that worship isn’t just an event—it’s a lifestyle of remembering God and living in a way that honors Him.
Key Themes or Lessons:
The Importance of Remembrance – The festivals were not just traditions; they were God-ordained times to pause, worship, and remember His faithfulness (Exodus 12:14, Leviticus 23:43).
Shining God's Light – The lampstand in the tabernacle symbolized God’s constant presence, and we are called to be His light in the world (Matthew 5:16).
Honoring God in Word and Action – Leviticus 24 warns against misusing God’s name and challenges us to live with reverence and obedience in everything we do (Colossians 3:17).
Devotional Application: "Keeping the Flame Burning"
Life gets busy, and in the rush of daily responsibilities, it’s easy to forget to pause and acknowledge God’s presence. That’s why God commanded Israel to observe sacred times of worship—not because He needed their sacrifices, but because they needed the reminder.
The festivals in Leviticus 23 served as spiritual anchors, helping the people refocus on God’s goodness. Likewise, we need intentional rhythms of rest, worship, and reflection to keep our faith strong.
And then there’s the lampstand in Leviticus 24—kept burning as a symbol of God’s presence among His people. Jesus calls us to be that light in the world (Matthew 5:16). Just as the priests carefully tended the flames, we must tend to our spiritual lives, staying close to God through prayer, scripture, and obedience.
So today, let’s be intentional:
Pause to remember what God has done.
Keep our spiritual flame burning.
Live in a way that reflects His holiness.
Reflection Prompts:
Setting Aside Time for God – The feasts in Leviticus 23 were reminders of God’s faithfulness. What rhythms of rest, worship, or remembrance can you build into your life to keep your focus on God?
Being a Light in the World – The lampstand in the tabernacle symbolized God’s presence among His people. How can you reflect God’s light in your daily interactions and choices?
Honoring God’s Name – Leviticus 24 warns about misusing God’s name and calls for reverence. In what ways do your words and actions honor or dishonor God in everyday life?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! God calls us to pause, remember, and shine His light in a dark world. Let’s be intentional this week in how we reflect Him—whether through worship, the way we speak, or how we love others.
Next week, we’ll explore Leviticus 25-26, where we’ll discuss the Sabbath Year, the Year of Jubilee, and God’s promises for obedience.
Until then, keep your faith strong, your light shining, and your Bible open. See you next time!

Leviticus 21-22 | Honoring God in Every Area of Life
Wednesday Mar 19, 2025
Wednesday Mar 19, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 21-22, where God calls the priests to a higher standard of holiness, reminding us that honoring Him isn’t just about public worship—it’s about how we live every day. These chapters challenge us to give God our best, not just in sacrifices but in every aspect of life. Join us as we discuss what it means to reflect God’s holiness in our daily choices, relationships, and worship.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 21 – Instructions for the priests to live set apart, ensuring their lives reflected God’s holiness in their personal choices, family matters, and even in how they mourned.
Leviticus 22 – Guidelines for acceptable sacrifices, emphasizing that offerings to God should be given with reverence and without defect, demonstrating wholehearted worship.
These laws reinforced the idea that holiness wasn’t just about rituals—it was about a lifestyle of devotion to a holy God.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness in Every Area of Life – The priests weren’t only called to holiness inside the Tabernacle, but in their personal lives as well. In the same way, our faith should shape how we live, speak, and act daily.
Giving God Our Best – Leviticus 22 teaches that sacrifices were to be without defect, reflecting the principle that God deserves our best, not our leftovers (Colossians 3:23).
Being Set Apart for God’s Glory – As believers, we are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), called to reflect God’s holiness in a way that draws others to Him.
Devotional Application: "Holiness is a Lifestyle, Not Just a Ritual"
It’s easy to compartmentalize our faith—acting one way at church and another way at work, at home, or with friends. But Leviticus 21-22 challenges us to honor God in everything we do.
Holiness isn’t about checking religious boxes—it’s about a heart devoted to God.
The priests were held to a higher standard because they represented God to the people. As followers of Christ, we also represent Him in the way we live.
Worship wasn’t meant to be careless or routine—God’s instructions on sacrifice remind us that He deserves our best, not just when it’s convenient.
Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Every part of our lives can be an act of worship when we do it for Him.
So today, let’s live with purpose—giving God our best in our actions, thoughts, and relationships.
Reflection Prompts:
Whole-Life Worship – The priests were called to reflect God’s holiness in every area of their lives. What areas of your daily life do you find it hardest to live in a way that honors God?
Giving God Our Best – Leviticus 22 emphasizes that sacrifices were to be without defect. Are there areas in your spiritual life where you’ve been giving God less than your best? How can you be more intentional in your devotion?
Living Set Apart – We are called to be “a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9). How can you embrace holiness in a way that reflects God’s love rather than feeling like a list of rules?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness isn’t just about rules—it’s about a relationship with a holy God. When we live set apart for Him, we reflect His goodness, love, and grace to the world.
Next week, we’ll explore Leviticus 23-24, where we’ll dive into God’s appointed festivals and what they teach us about worship and rest.
Until then, let’s live fully devoted to God—honoring Him in every moment! See you next time!

Leviticus 19-20 | Living Holy in a World That Isn’t
Tuesday Mar 18, 2025
Tuesday Mar 18, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we dive into Leviticus 19-20, where God gives practical instructions on how His people are to live set apart. Holiness isn’t just about avoiding sin—it’s about reflecting God’s character in our relationships, actions, and choices. These chapters remind us that holiness is a daily commitment, not just a religious concept. Join us as we explore what it means to live holy in a world that isn’t and how we can embrace this calling with joy.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 19 – God outlines practical laws for holy living, including loving neighbors, honesty in business, respecting parents, caring for the poor, and upholding justice.
Leviticus 20 – A strong warning against conforming to the sinful practices of surrounding cultures, emphasizing that God's people must separate themselves from unrighteousness.
These laws weren’t just rules to follow—they were meant to shape a people who reflected God’s holiness in every aspect of life.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness is More Than Avoiding Sin – Many think holiness is about what we don’t do, but Leviticus 19 shows that holiness is actively lived out through love, justice, and integrity.
God’s People Are Called to Stand Apart – Leviticus 20 warns Israel not to imitate the world’s values. In the same way, we are called to resist cultural pressures and align our lives with God’s truth.
Holiness Reflects God’s Goodness – 1 Peter 1:15-16 says, “Be holy in all that you do, for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’” Holiness isn’t about legalism—it’s about devotion to God and pointing others to His goodness.
Devotional Application: "Holiness is a Calling, Not a Burden"
We often think of holiness as restrictive—a list of things we can’t do. But in reality, holiness is an invitation to live fully for God.
God calls us to be set apart not to make our lives difficult, but to make our lives meaningful. Holiness shapes our character, our choices, and our impact on the world. It’s not about perfection—it’s about a heart devoted to God.
Leviticus 19 reminds us that holiness is practical:
How we treat others.
How we conduct our work.
How we uphold justice and care for those in need.
When we live set apart, we reflect God’s goodness in a world that desperately needs Him. Holiness isn’t a burden—it’s a calling.
Reflection Prompts:
Holiness in Action – Leviticus 19 connects holiness with practical kindness and justice. What are some ways you can reflect God’s holiness in your daily relationships and interactions?
Resisting Cultural Pressure – Leviticus 20 warns against conforming to sinful practices. Are there areas where culture is shaping your values more than God’s Word? How can you stand firm in your faith?
Living as God’s People – Holiness isn’t about perfection but about being set apart for God. How can you embrace a life of holiness as an opportunity to reflect God’s goodness rather than a burden?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness is more than just avoiding sin—it’s about living fully for God.
Next week, we’ll explore Leviticus 21-22, where we’ll see God’s instructions for the priesthood and what it means to be an example of holiness.
Until then, let’s walk in our calling with joy! See you next time!

Leviticus 17-18 | Living Set Apart in a Compromised World
Monday Mar 17, 2025
Monday Mar 17, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 17-18, where God commands His people to live differently from the surrounding nations. These chapters highlight the importance of worshiping God His way and upholding moral purity, even when the world promotes compromise. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand out, not blend in, reflecting God’s holiness in every area of life. Join us as we unpack how to live set apart for God in a culture that often redefines morality.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 17 – God establishes rules for blood sacrifices, emphasizing that life is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). Worship was not to be done on personal terms but according to God’s commands.
Leviticus 18 – God gives moral laws, especially regarding sexual purity, warning Israel not to follow the sinful practices of Egypt (where they had been) or Canaan (where they were going).
These chapters reveal that holiness is about living differently, not conforming to the world’s ways.
Key Themes or Lessons:
True Worship is Defined by God – Worship isn’t about what feels right but about what God commands. Just as the Israelites couldn’t offer sacrifices however they pleased, we must align our worship with God’s Word.
Holiness in a Culture of Compromise – The Israelites were surrounded by cultures with distorted morals, but God called them to stand apart. Today, we face similar pressures to conform, but Romans 12:2 reminds us not to be conformed to the world, but transformed by God’s truth.
God’s Standard for Purity – In Leviticus 18, God warns against sexual sin and immorality. While culture often redefines morality, God’s Word remains our ultimate guide for living in righteousness.
Devotional Application: "Holiness is About Devotion"
Holiness isn’t about following rules—it’s about being devoted to God.
In a world where truth is often twisted to fit personal desires, God calls us to live differently. Worship is not about what we prefer but about honoring God on His terms.
Romans 12:2 says: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
That means we align our thoughts, choices, and actions with God’s Word, not the shifting values of culture.
It’s easy to blend in—but holiness is about standing out.
God isn’t calling us to legalism—He’s calling us to love Him fully by living in a way that honors Him.
Reflection Prompts:
A Life of Worship – Leviticus 17 reminds us that worship must be done God’s way. Are you worshiping God on His terms, or trying to fit Him into your own preferences?
Moral Purity in a World of Compromise – Leviticus 18 warns against cultural influences that lead people away from God. Are you allowing culture to shape your values more than Scripture?
Standing Out for God – Holiness isn’t about perfection, but devotion. What is one practical step you can take this week to live set apart for God in your thoughts, actions, or relationships?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness isn’t about restriction—it’s about reflecting God’s goodness.
Next week, we’ll continue through Leviticus 19-20, exploring God’s moral laws and what it truly means to be set apart for Him.
Until then, let’s commit to living boldly for God this week! See you next time!

In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we continue through Leviticus 7-16, exploring God’s instructions for offerings, the priesthood, purification laws, and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). These passages reveal a crucial truth: God calls His people to holiness, but He also provides a way for them to be cleansed and restored. The Day of Atonement foreshadows Jesus as our ultimate sacrifice, reminding us that we no longer carry the burden of sin—He has already removed it. Join us as we unpack how these ancient rituals point to the freedom and grace we now have in Christ.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 7-10 – Final instructions on offerings and the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests. We also see a sobering moment when Nadab and Abihu offer unauthorized fire and are consumed, demonstrating that God’s holiness must be taken seriously.
Leviticus 11-15 – Purity laws covering food regulations, childbirth, and disease management. These laws set Israel apart and reinforced that God’s people must be holy.
Leviticus 16 – The Day of Atonement, the one day each year when the high priest made a sacrifice for Israel’s sins. This sacred ritual pointed forward to Jesus, our once-for-all atonement (Hebrews 9:12).
These passages highlight God’s desire for holiness and His provision for restoration.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness Requires Obedience – God’s laws were not about restriction but about setting His people apart. Holiness isn’t just about avoiding sin—it’s about reflecting God’s character (Leviticus 19:2, 1 Peter 1:15-16).
The Seriousness of Sin – Nadab and Abihu’s fate reminds us that approaching God requires reverence. Sin is not a small matter, but through Jesus, we have full atonement and access to God’s presence.
Jesus, Our Ultimate Atonement – The Day of Atonement was a shadow of the greater work Christ accomplished on the cross. His sacrifice completely removes our sin and allows us to live in freedom (Hebrews 10:10, Psalm 103:12).
Devotional Application: "The Gift of Atonement"
Have you ever struggled to let go of guilt?
Leviticus 16 describes the scapegoat, which carried Israel’s sins away into the wilderness. Imagine watching that goat disappear, knowing your sins were being taken far from you.
That’s exactly what Jesus did.
When He died, He didn’t just cover our sins—He removed them completely. Yet, many of us still carry the weight of past mistakes, even when God has already declared us clean.
Here’s the heart of today’s message: We are not just forgiven—we are free.
If Jesus has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), why do we keep bringing them back?
Today, let’s make a choice: to walk in the freedom Christ has already given us.
Reflection Prompts:
Walking in Holiness – God called Israel to be distinct. How is your life reflecting that you belong to Him?
Letting Go of Guilt – The scapegoat symbolized sins being carried away. Are you holding onto guilt that Jesus has already removed? How can you fully embrace His forgiveness?
Living in Obedience – The priests had specific instructions for worship and service. How can you approach God with greater reverence in your daily life?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, Jesus has already carried away your sins—you don’t have to live in guilt anymore. Instead, live in the joy and freedom of His grace.
Next week, we’ll dive into Leviticus 17-26, exploring what it means to truly live a life set apart for God.
Until then, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 15-16 | The Power of Atonement
Friday Mar 14, 2025
Friday Mar 14, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 15-16, which covers laws of purification and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)—the most sacred day in Israel’s worship. While these passages may seem distant from our lives today, they reveal a powerful truth: God’s holiness requires atonement for sin, and Jesus is our perfect atonement. Just as the high priest made sacrifices for the people, Jesus became our ultimate High Priest, offering His life to remove our sins forever. Join us as we uncover the beauty of God’s grace, cleansing, and complete forgiveness through Christ.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 15 – This chapter deals with laws regarding bodily discharges, reinforcing the need for purification before approaching God. These laws reminded Israel that God is holy and that spiritual impurity needed cleansing before worship.
Leviticus 16 – The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) was the only day each year when the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place to make a sacrifice for the sins of the entire nation. Two goats were used:
One was sacrificed for sin.
The other, the scapegoat, was sent into the wilderness, symbolizing the removal of sin from the people.
These rituals pointed to Jesus, who became our sacrifice and took our sins away forever.
Key Themes or Lessons:
The Seriousness of Sin – The Day of Atonement was a yearly reminder that sin separates people from God and required bloodshed for forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Today, Jesus’ sacrifice has permanently covered our sins (Romans 6:10).
Jesus, Our Perfect High Priest – Unlike the high priest who had to offer sacrifices yearly, Jesus entered God’s presence once and for all to secure our redemption (Hebrews 9:12). His atonement removes sin forever, not just temporarily.
Freedom from Guilt and Shame – The scapegoat carried Israel’s sins away, just as Jesus removes our sins completely (Psalm 103:12). If God has forgiven us, why do we still hold onto guilt?
Devotional Application: "Living in the Freedom of Christ’s Atonement"
The Day of Atonement was not just about forgiveness—it was about restoration.
Imagine the weight lifted from the people when they saw the scapegoat disappear into the wilderness. It was a visible sign that God had removed their sins.
Now, think about what Jesus did on the cross.
When He said, “It is finished,” He meant it. The guilt, the shame, the condemnation—it was all removed.
Yet, many of us still carry the burden of past mistakes, acting as though we need to “atone” for our own sins.
But Jesus already did that.
If God has cast our sins as far as the east is from the west, why do we keep bringing them back (Psalm 103:12)?
Here’s the heart of today’s message: We are not just forgiven—we are free.
When we live in the truth of Christ’s atonement, we stop striving to “earn” forgiveness and start walking in the confidence of His grace.
So today, let’s let go of what Jesus already carried away.
Reflection Prompts:
Recognizing the Weight of Sin – The Day of Atonement showed how seriously God takes sin. Do you take time to confess and seek God’s cleansing regularly?
Living in Christ’s Atonement – The scapegoat symbolized sin being removed from the people. Are you holding onto guilt that Jesus has already taken away? How can you fully embrace His forgiveness?
Approaching a Holy God – The Israelites needed a mediator to enter God’s presence, but Jesus made a way for us to come boldly before Him (Hebrews 4:16). How can you grow in confidence in your relationship with God, knowing you are fully cleansed?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, because of Jesus, our sins aren’t just covered—they are completely removed. We don’t need to carry the weight of past mistakes—we are free to walk in grace, joy, and full restoration.
Let’s live in that freedom this week.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 13-14 | Restoration and Renewal
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we dive into Leviticus 13-14, where God gives instructions on skin diseases and purification. While these passages might seem like ancient health regulations, they reveal a powerful truth: God’s heart is not just for cleansing, but for full restoration. Just as those with leprosy were separated from the community, sin separates us from God—but through Jesus, our High Priest, we are made clean and brought back into fellowship. Join us as we explore how God’s grace restores, renews, and welcomes us home.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 13 – God provides laws for diagnosing and handling skin diseases (often called leprosy). Those declared unclean had to live outside the camp, symbolizing separation from the community and from worship.
Leviticus 14 – If a person was healed, the priest performed a ritual of purification, which included sacrifices and washing, signifying full restoration to both God and the community.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Sin and Separation – In Scripture, leprosy often symbolizes sin’s effect on our lives—how it spreads, isolates, and makes us unclean before God (Isaiah 64:6). Just like physical disease required cleansing, our sin requires spiritual cleansing.
God’s Heart for Restoration – The cleansing rituals in Leviticus 14 weren’t just about removing disease—they were about fully restoring people. This mirrors God’s desire to restore us when we turn to Him (Psalm 51:10-12).
Jesus, Our Ultimate High Priest – Just as priests examined the unclean and declared them restored, Jesus is our High Priest who cleanses us from sin and welcomes us back into relationship with God (1 John 1:9).
Devotional Application: "God’s Grace is Greater"
It’s easy to read Leviticus 13-14 and focus on the rules and rituals, but at its core, these chapters show God’s relentless pursuit of restoration.
Leprosy was more than a disease—it was a sentence of isolation.
Imagine being separated from your family, unable to worship with others, and completely cut off. That’s what sin does—it isolates, it creates distance, and it breaks relationships.
But in Leviticus 14, we see hope.
When a person was healed, they weren’t just physically better—they were welcomed back into the community. The priest didn’t just declare them clean; he performed a ceremony symbolizing full restoration.
This points us to Jesus.
When we come to Him with our brokenness, our guilt, and our failures, He doesn’t just say, "You're forgiven." He says, "You're restored."
No matter how far we feel, God’s grace is always greater. He cleanses, renews, and brings us back into fellowship.
So today, let’s stop hiding what makes us feel unclean—God is waiting to restore us.
Reflection Prompts:
Recognizing Spiritual “Leprosy” – Leprosy in the Bible often symbolizes sin. Are there any hidden sins, fears, or struggles that you need to bring before God for healing?
God’s Heart for Restoration – The purification process in Leviticus 14 was about more than just being “clean” again—it was about being restored to God and others. How have you experienced God’s restoration in your life?
Offering Grace to Others – Just as priests examined and helped restore the unclean, we are called to be agents of grace. How can you extend compassion to someone who is struggling or feeling isolated?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, God doesn’t just cleanse—He restores. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, His grace is always enough to bring renewal and healing.
Let’s walk in that truth this week.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 11-12 | Set Apart for a Purpose
Wednesday Mar 12, 2025
Wednesday Mar 12, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 11-12, where God gives instructions on dietary laws and purification after childbirth. While these laws may seem outdated, they reveal an important truth: God calls His people to be set apart for Him. These laws weren’t just about health or rituals—they were about shaping Israel’s identity as a holy nation. As believers today, we may not follow these exact laws, but we are still called to live distinctively in a way that honors God. Join us as we reflect on what it means to embrace holiness as an invitation, not a burden.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 11 – God outlines which animals the Israelites could eat and which were considered unclean. These dietary laws were a daily reminder that they belonged to a holy God and were to live differently than the nations around them.
Leviticus 12 – Instructions for purification after childbirth show that even life’s most natural events were to be approached with an understanding of God’s holiness.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness is an Identity, Not Just an Action – God wasn’t just giving Israel rules to follow; He was shaping their identity as His set-apart people. Their daily choices—including what they ate—served as a constant reminder of who they belonged to (Leviticus 11:45).
Holiness Impacts Daily Life – The purification laws show that holiness wasn’t just for worship—it affected every part of life. In the same way, we are called to live differently every day, not just on Sundays (1 Peter 1:15-16).
Living Differently for a Purpose – Being set apart wasn’t meant to exclude Israel from the world, but to reflect God’s character to others. Today, we are called to stand out—not by isolating ourselves, but by living in a way that points others to God (Matthew 5:16).
Devotional Application: "Holiness is an Invitation, Not a Burden"
At first glance, Leviticus 11-12 may seem like a long list of rules, but at its core, it reveals God’s heart for His people.
God didn’t just want their obedience—He wanted their devotion.
Every meal, every custom, every law was designed to keep Israel mindful of His presence. Holiness wasn’t just about rituals—it was about relationship.
And the same is true for us today.
In 1 Peter 1:15-16, we are reminded: "Be holy, because I am holy."
Holiness isn’t about perfection—it’s about belonging to God. It’s about choosing to live in a way that reflects His goodness. It means saying no to the things that pull us away from Him and yes to the life He calls us to.
So today, let’s ask ourselves:
Are we living as people set apart, or are we blending in with the world?
Do we see holiness as a burden, or as an invitation to a life that glorifies God?
The good news is, we don’t have to strive for holiness alone. Through Jesus, we are made holy (Hebrews 10:10), and through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live differently.
Holiness is not about following a set of rules—it’s about walking in relationship with a holy God.
Reflection Prompts:
Living Set Apart: God called Israel to be distinct from the nations around them. Are there areas in your life where God is calling you to live differently?
Holiness in Everyday Life: Israel’s food laws and purification rituals were daily reminders of God’s presence. What daily habits or spiritual practices help keep you focused on God?
Being Different for a Purpose: 1 Peter 1:15-16 calls us to be holy as God is holy. How can you embrace holiness—not as a set of restrictions, but as a joyful response to God’s love?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness isn’t about rules—it’s about belonging to God. He calls us to live set apart, not to burden us, but to draw us closer to Him and reflect His love to the world.
Let’s embrace holiness as an invitation to a deeper relationship with Him this week!
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!
