Leviticus 7-16 Recap | Atonement, Purity, and God's Presence
Saturday Mar 15, 2025
Saturday Mar 15, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we continue through Leviticus 7-16, exploring God’s instructions for offerings, the priesthood, purification laws, and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). These passages reveal a crucial truth: God calls His people to holiness, but He also provides a way for them to be cleansed and restored. The Day of Atonement foreshadows Jesus as our ultimate sacrifice, reminding us that we no longer carry the burden of sin—He has already removed it. Join us as we unpack how these ancient rituals point to the freedom and grace we now have in Christ.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 7-10 – Final instructions on offerings and the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests. We also see a sobering moment when Nadab and Abihu offer unauthorized fire and are consumed, demonstrating that God’s holiness must be taken seriously.
Leviticus 11-15 – Purity laws covering food regulations, childbirth, and disease management. These laws set Israel apart and reinforced that God’s people must be holy.
Leviticus 16 – The Day of Atonement, the one day each year when the high priest made a sacrifice for Israel’s sins. This sacred ritual pointed forward to Jesus, our once-for-all atonement (Hebrews 9:12).
These passages highlight God’s desire for holiness and His provision for restoration.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness Requires Obedience – God’s laws were not about restriction but about setting His people apart. Holiness isn’t just about avoiding sin—it’s about reflecting God’s character (Leviticus 19:2, 1 Peter 1:15-16).
The Seriousness of Sin – Nadab and Abihu’s fate reminds us that approaching God requires reverence. Sin is not a small matter, but through Jesus, we have full atonement and access to God’s presence.
Jesus, Our Ultimate Atonement – The Day of Atonement was a shadow of the greater work Christ accomplished on the cross. His sacrifice completely removes our sin and allows us to live in freedom (Hebrews 10:10, Psalm 103:12).
Devotional Application: "The Gift of Atonement"
Have you ever struggled to let go of guilt?
Leviticus 16 describes the scapegoat, which carried Israel’s sins away into the wilderness. Imagine watching that goat disappear, knowing your sins were being taken far from you.
That’s exactly what Jesus did.
When He died, He didn’t just cover our sins—He removed them completely. Yet, many of us still carry the weight of past mistakes, even when God has already declared us clean.
Here’s the heart of today’s message: We are not just forgiven—we are free.
If Jesus has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), why do we keep bringing them back?
Today, let’s make a choice: to walk in the freedom Christ has already given us.
Reflection Prompts:
Walking in Holiness – God called Israel to be distinct. How is your life reflecting that you belong to Him?
Letting Go of Guilt – The scapegoat symbolized sins being carried away. Are you holding onto guilt that Jesus has already removed? How can you fully embrace His forgiveness?
Living in Obedience – The priests had specific instructions for worship and service. How can you approach God with greater reverence in your daily life?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, Jesus has already carried away your sins—you don’t have to live in guilt anymore. Instead, live in the joy and freedom of His grace.
Next week, we’ll dive into Leviticus 17-26, exploring what it means to truly live a life set apart for God.
Until then, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 15-16 | The Power of Atonement
Friday Mar 14, 2025
Friday Mar 14, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 15-16, which covers laws of purification and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)—the most sacred day in Israel’s worship. While these passages may seem distant from our lives today, they reveal a powerful truth: God’s holiness requires atonement for sin, and Jesus is our perfect atonement. Just as the high priest made sacrifices for the people, Jesus became our ultimate High Priest, offering His life to remove our sins forever. Join us as we uncover the beauty of God’s grace, cleansing, and complete forgiveness through Christ.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 15 – This chapter deals with laws regarding bodily discharges, reinforcing the need for purification before approaching God. These laws reminded Israel that God is holy and that spiritual impurity needed cleansing before worship.
Leviticus 16 – The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) was the only day each year when the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place to make a sacrifice for the sins of the entire nation. Two goats were used:
One was sacrificed for sin.
The other, the scapegoat, was sent into the wilderness, symbolizing the removal of sin from the people.
These rituals pointed to Jesus, who became our sacrifice and took our sins away forever.
Key Themes or Lessons:
The Seriousness of Sin – The Day of Atonement was a yearly reminder that sin separates people from God and required bloodshed for forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Today, Jesus’ sacrifice has permanently covered our sins (Romans 6:10).
Jesus, Our Perfect High Priest – Unlike the high priest who had to offer sacrifices yearly, Jesus entered God’s presence once and for all to secure our redemption (Hebrews 9:12). His atonement removes sin forever, not just temporarily.
Freedom from Guilt and Shame – The scapegoat carried Israel’s sins away, just as Jesus removes our sins completely (Psalm 103:12). If God has forgiven us, why do we still hold onto guilt?
Devotional Application: "Living in the Freedom of Christ’s Atonement"
The Day of Atonement was not just about forgiveness—it was about restoration.
Imagine the weight lifted from the people when they saw the scapegoat disappear into the wilderness. It was a visible sign that God had removed their sins.
Now, think about what Jesus did on the cross.
When He said, “It is finished,” He meant it. The guilt, the shame, the condemnation—it was all removed.
Yet, many of us still carry the burden of past mistakes, acting as though we need to “atone” for our own sins.
But Jesus already did that.
If God has cast our sins as far as the east is from the west, why do we keep bringing them back (Psalm 103:12)?
Here’s the heart of today’s message: We are not just forgiven—we are free.
When we live in the truth of Christ’s atonement, we stop striving to “earn” forgiveness and start walking in the confidence of His grace.
So today, let’s let go of what Jesus already carried away.
Reflection Prompts:
Recognizing the Weight of Sin – The Day of Atonement showed how seriously God takes sin. Do you take time to confess and seek God’s cleansing regularly?
Living in Christ’s Atonement – The scapegoat symbolized sin being removed from the people. Are you holding onto guilt that Jesus has already taken away? How can you fully embrace His forgiveness?
Approaching a Holy God – The Israelites needed a mediator to enter God’s presence, but Jesus made a way for us to come boldly before Him (Hebrews 4:16). How can you grow in confidence in your relationship with God, knowing you are fully cleansed?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, because of Jesus, our sins aren’t just covered—they are completely removed. We don’t need to carry the weight of past mistakes—we are free to walk in grace, joy, and full restoration.
Let’s live in that freedom this week.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 13-14 | Restoration and Renewal
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
Thursday Mar 13, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we dive into Leviticus 13-14, where God gives instructions on skin diseases and purification. While these passages might seem like ancient health regulations, they reveal a powerful truth: God’s heart is not just for cleansing, but for full restoration. Just as those with leprosy were separated from the community, sin separates us from God—but through Jesus, our High Priest, we are made clean and brought back into fellowship. Join us as we explore how God’s grace restores, renews, and welcomes us home.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 13 – God provides laws for diagnosing and handling skin diseases (often called leprosy). Those declared unclean had to live outside the camp, symbolizing separation from the community and from worship.
Leviticus 14 – If a person was healed, the priest performed a ritual of purification, which included sacrifices and washing, signifying full restoration to both God and the community.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Sin and Separation – In Scripture, leprosy often symbolizes sin’s effect on our lives—how it spreads, isolates, and makes us unclean before God (Isaiah 64:6). Just like physical disease required cleansing, our sin requires spiritual cleansing.
God’s Heart for Restoration – The cleansing rituals in Leviticus 14 weren’t just about removing disease—they were about fully restoring people. This mirrors God’s desire to restore us when we turn to Him (Psalm 51:10-12).
Jesus, Our Ultimate High Priest – Just as priests examined the unclean and declared them restored, Jesus is our High Priest who cleanses us from sin and welcomes us back into relationship with God (1 John 1:9).
Devotional Application: "God’s Grace is Greater"
It’s easy to read Leviticus 13-14 and focus on the rules and rituals, but at its core, these chapters show God’s relentless pursuit of restoration.
Leprosy was more than a disease—it was a sentence of isolation.
Imagine being separated from your family, unable to worship with others, and completely cut off. That’s what sin does—it isolates, it creates distance, and it breaks relationships.
But in Leviticus 14, we see hope.
When a person was healed, they weren’t just physically better—they were welcomed back into the community. The priest didn’t just declare them clean; he performed a ceremony symbolizing full restoration.
This points us to Jesus.
When we come to Him with our brokenness, our guilt, and our failures, He doesn’t just say, "You're forgiven." He says, "You're restored."
No matter how far we feel, God’s grace is always greater. He cleanses, renews, and brings us back into fellowship.
So today, let’s stop hiding what makes us feel unclean—God is waiting to restore us.
Reflection Prompts:
Recognizing Spiritual “Leprosy” – Leprosy in the Bible often symbolizes sin. Are there any hidden sins, fears, or struggles that you need to bring before God for healing?
God’s Heart for Restoration – The purification process in Leviticus 14 was about more than just being “clean” again—it was about being restored to God and others. How have you experienced God’s restoration in your life?
Offering Grace to Others – Just as priests examined and helped restore the unclean, we are called to be agents of grace. How can you extend compassion to someone who is struggling or feeling isolated?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, God doesn’t just cleanse—He restores. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, His grace is always enough to bring renewal and healing.
Let’s walk in that truth this week.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 11-12 | Set Apart for a Purpose
Wednesday Mar 12, 2025
Wednesday Mar 12, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 11-12, where God gives instructions on dietary laws and purification after childbirth. While these laws may seem outdated, they reveal an important truth: God calls His people to be set apart for Him. These laws weren’t just about health or rituals—they were about shaping Israel’s identity as a holy nation. As believers today, we may not follow these exact laws, but we are still called to live distinctively in a way that honors God. Join us as we reflect on what it means to embrace holiness as an invitation, not a burden.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 11 – God outlines which animals the Israelites could eat and which were considered unclean. These dietary laws were a daily reminder that they belonged to a holy God and were to live differently than the nations around them.
Leviticus 12 – Instructions for purification after childbirth show that even life’s most natural events were to be approached with an understanding of God’s holiness.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness is an Identity, Not Just an Action – God wasn’t just giving Israel rules to follow; He was shaping their identity as His set-apart people. Their daily choices—including what they ate—served as a constant reminder of who they belonged to (Leviticus 11:45).
Holiness Impacts Daily Life – The purification laws show that holiness wasn’t just for worship—it affected every part of life. In the same way, we are called to live differently every day, not just on Sundays (1 Peter 1:15-16).
Living Differently for a Purpose – Being set apart wasn’t meant to exclude Israel from the world, but to reflect God’s character to others. Today, we are called to stand out—not by isolating ourselves, but by living in a way that points others to God (Matthew 5:16).
Devotional Application: "Holiness is an Invitation, Not a Burden"
At first glance, Leviticus 11-12 may seem like a long list of rules, but at its core, it reveals God’s heart for His people.
God didn’t just want their obedience—He wanted their devotion.
Every meal, every custom, every law was designed to keep Israel mindful of His presence. Holiness wasn’t just about rituals—it was about relationship.
And the same is true for us today.
In 1 Peter 1:15-16, we are reminded: "Be holy, because I am holy."
Holiness isn’t about perfection—it’s about belonging to God. It’s about choosing to live in a way that reflects His goodness. It means saying no to the things that pull us away from Him and yes to the life He calls us to.
So today, let’s ask ourselves:
Are we living as people set apart, or are we blending in with the world?
Do we see holiness as a burden, or as an invitation to a life that glorifies God?
The good news is, we don’t have to strive for holiness alone. Through Jesus, we are made holy (Hebrews 10:10), and through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live differently.
Holiness is not about following a set of rules—it’s about walking in relationship with a holy God.
Reflection Prompts:
Living Set Apart: God called Israel to be distinct from the nations around them. Are there areas in your life where God is calling you to live differently?
Holiness in Everyday Life: Israel’s food laws and purification rituals were daily reminders of God’s presence. What daily habits or spiritual practices help keep you focused on God?
Being Different for a Purpose: 1 Peter 1:15-16 calls us to be holy as God is holy. How can you embrace holiness—not as a set of restrictions, but as a joyful response to God’s love?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness isn’t about rules—it’s about belonging to God. He calls us to live set apart, not to burden us, but to draw us closer to Him and reflect His love to the world.
Let’s embrace holiness as an invitation to a deeper relationship with Him this week!
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you soon!

Leviticus 9-10 | Worshiping God His Way
Tuesday Mar 11, 2025
Tuesday Mar 11, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 9-10, where we witness both a powerful display of God's glory and a sobering warning about the importance of honoring Him in worship. As Aaron and his sons complete their priestly ordination, God's holy fire consumes the sacrifice in approval, and the people respond in awe and worship. However, Nadab and Abihu’s unauthorized fire results in tragic consequences, reminding us that worship isn’t about what we think is best—it’s about honoring God in the way He commands. Join us as we reflect on what it means to worship with reverence, obedience, and awe.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 9: Aaron and his sons, newly ordained as priests, offer sacrifices for the first time. God’s glory appears, and fire consumes the offering, signifying His approval. The people respond with worship and humility, falling facedown before the Lord.
Leviticus 10: Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron, offer “unauthorized fire” before the Lord—worshiping on their own terms instead of following God’s instructions. As a result, fire from the Lord consumes them, a stark reminder of God’s holiness and the importance of obedience in worship.
Key Themes or Lessons:
God’s Presence in Worship – When Aaron and his sons followed God’s instructions, His glory appeared. True worship invites God’s presence and should always be focused on giving Him glory, not seeking personal experience or preferences (Leviticus 9:23-24).
Worship on God’s Terms, Not Ours – Nadab and Abihu’s mistake was approaching God in their own way rather than how He commanded. While we live under grace through Jesus, this reminds us that worship isn’t about convenience or personal style—it’s about honoring God’s holiness (Leviticus 10:1-2).
A Lifestyle of Worship – Worship isn’t just about a Sunday service; it’s about how we honor God daily. Every action, word, and decision should be an offering of obedience and surrender to Him (Romans 12:1).
Devotional Application: "Worship is About God, Not Us"
One of the biggest temptations in worship today is making it about our preferences rather than God’s presence. It’s easy to focus on what we feel, what we like, or how we benefit, but true worship is about giving God the reverence He deserves.
Nadab and Abihu’s story is a sobering reminder that God’s holiness is not to be taken lightly. Their mistake wasn’t just a small error—it was a direct disregard for God’s instructions. They thought their way was good enough. But God desires obedience, not just enthusiasm.
Thankfully, through Jesus, we approach God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16), but that doesn’t mean we should take His presence lightly. Worship is about: ✅ Reverence – Remembering who God is and why He deserves our worship. ✅ Obedience – Following God’s Word even when it’s not easy or popular. ✅ Surrender – Laying down our preferences for His purposes.
Here’s the heart of today’s message: Worship isn’t about us—it’s about Him.
Are we truly worshiping in spirit and truth (John 4:24), or are we shaping worship to fit our preferences, emotions, or comfort? Let’s be a people who approach God with humility, awe, and obedience.
Reflection Prompts:
Heart of Worship: The people responded with awe and reverence when God’s glory appeared. How can you cultivate a deeper sense of awe in your worship, both in church and in your daily life?
Obedience in Worship: Nadab and Abihu approached God in their own way rather than following His commands. Are there areas in your spiritual life where you’ve been tempted to do things your way instead of God’s way?
Worship Beyond Sunday: Worship isn’t just about singing in church—it’s about how we live. What practical ways can you honor God in your daily actions, decisions, and attitude as an act of worship?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, God is holy, and He invites us to worship Him in spirit and truth. Let’s commit to approaching Him with reverence, obedience, and a heart fully surrendered to His will.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you next week!

Leviticus 7-8 | Called to a Life of Dedication
Monday Mar 10, 2025
Monday Mar 10, 2025
Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we continue through Leviticus 7-8, exploring God’s instructions for offerings and the consecration of the priests. These passages reveal that worship isn’t just about rituals—it’s about obedience, thanksgiving, and living set apart for God. As we reflect on the ordination of Aaron and his sons, we’ll see that God calls all of us to be set apart for His purposes. Through Jesus, we are a royal priesthood, called to live fully dedicated to Him.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 7: God gives final instructions on the guilt, fellowship, and grain offerings, emphasizing that worship must be done according to His instructions. These offerings symbolized atonement, gratitude, and devotion.
Leviticus 8: Moses ordains Aaron and his sons as priests, following a detailed process of washing, anointing, and sacrificing to set them apart for service. Their role was sacred—they were chosen to represent the people before God.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Worship Requires Obedience – The offerings were not just about rituals; they were about honoring God in the way He commanded. Worship today still requires a heart of surrender and reverence.
We Are a Royal Priesthood – Aaron and his sons were set apart as priests, but 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us that through Jesus, all believers are now part of God’s royal priesthood. We are called to live lives that reflect His holiness and proclaim His goodness.
Living Fully Dedicated to God – The priests had to go through a process of consecration before stepping into their role. Likewise, we are called to daily surrender and walk in holiness, preparing our hearts for service to God.
Devotional Application: "Set Apart for a Purpose"
Leviticus 8 paints a powerful picture of being set apart for God’s service. Aaron and his sons didn’t casually step into their priestly role. They underwent washing, anointing, and offering sacrifices before they could serve.
Why? Because serving God requires preparation and dedication.
But here’s the incredible truth: This calling wasn’t just for them—it’s for us, too.
1 Peter 2:9 says: "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."
Through Jesus, we are set apart to represent God to the world. We don’t need special garments or sacrifices to approach Him, but we are called to offer our lives as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).
This means: ✅ Offering our time, talents, and worship to God ✅ Walking in obedience, even when it’s difficult ✅ Living as reflections of His holiness in a world that desperately needs Him
Here’s the heart of today’s message: Being set apart isn’t about perfection—it’s about full surrender.
Are we living fully dedicated to God, or are we holding back? Let’s commit to offering our lives, our worship, and our service to Him completely.
Reflection Prompts:
Living as a Royal Priesthood: The priests were set apart for service to God. How can you embrace your calling as part of God’s “royal priesthood” in your daily life?
Offering Our Best to God: The fellowship and grain offerings were acts of thanksgiving and dedication. In what ways can you offer your time, gifts, or worship as an expression of gratitude to God?
Walking in Holiness: Aaron and his sons underwent a process of consecration before stepping into their priestly role. Are there areas in your life where God is calling you to deeper obedience and surrender?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, God has set you apart for a purpose. Let’s live fully dedicated to Him this week—offering our lives in worship, surrender, and service.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you next week!

Exodus 37-Leviticus 6 Recap | Drawing Near to a Holy God
Saturday Mar 08, 2025
Saturday Mar 08, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we reflect on the transition from Exodus to Leviticus, exploring the completion of the Tabernacle, the beginning of the sacrificial system, and God's invitation to holiness and worship. As we dive into Exodus 37 - Leviticus 6, we’ll see how God not only called His people to live set apart but also provided a way for them to draw near to Him. Through worship, obedience, and repentance, we are reminded that God’s presence is available to us today through Jesus.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Exodus 37-40: The Israelites complete the Tabernacle exactly as God commanded, and His glory fills the sacred space (Exodus 40:34). This moment marks the fulfillment of God’s promise to dwell among His people.
Leviticus 1-2: God introduces the burnt and grain offerings, showing that worship requires both surrender and gratitude.
Leviticus 3-4: The fellowship and sin offerings reveal that God desires both relationship and repentance from His people.
Leviticus 5-6: The guilt offering emphasizes the need for taking responsibility for sin and making restitution when we wrong others.
Through these passages, we see a central truth: God is holy, and He desires to dwell with us—but He also calls us to worship and obedience in response to His presence.
Key Themes or Lessons:
God’s Presence Fills Our Worship – When the Israelites completed the Tabernacle, God’s glory filled it (Exodus 40:34). This moment shows us that obedience and preparation make room for God’s presence in our lives.
Sacrifice and Worship Go Hand-in-Hand – The burnt offering (Leviticus 1) symbolized total surrender to God, and the fellowship offering (Leviticus 3) was a way to celebrate relationship with Him. Worship isn’t just about singing—it’s about offering our lives to God in gratitude and devotion (Romans 12:1).
God Provides a Way for Us to Draw Near – The sin and guilt offerings (Leviticus 4-6) show that sin separates us from God, but He always provides a way for forgiveness and restoration. Today, Jesus is our ultimate sacrifice (Hebrews 10:19-22), allowing us to confidently approach God’s presence.
Devotional Application: "A God Who Draws Near"
Can you imagine what it must have been like when God’s glory visibly filled the Tabernacle? After generations of slavery, wandering, and waiting, God’s presence finally rested among His people.
But here’s the challenge—His holiness was overwhelming. The people couldn’t just walk in freely. They needed sacrifices, priests, and purification to draw near to Him.
This is where Leviticus comes in. God wasn’t trying to create barriers—He was creating a way for His people to experience Him safely. Each offering—the burnt, grain, fellowship, sin, and guilt offerings—wasn’t just about rituals. They were about relationship, atonement, and obedience.
Here’s the incredible truth: We don’t have to bring sacrifices anymore. Why? Because Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for us.
Hebrews 10:19-22 says:"Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus… let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings."
God’s presence isn’t locked away in a tent or behind a veil anymore—it is available to us daily. The real question is: Are we taking advantage of this access?
Too often, we keep God at a distance. We let busyness, guilt, or distractions keep us from drawing near to Him. But the same God who filled the Tabernacle now dwells in us (1 Corinthians 3:16).
Are we making space for Him in our lives? Are we treating our time in His presence as sacred and essential?
This week, let’s commit to drawing near—to worshiping fully, repenting quickly, and resting in His presence.
Reflection Prompts:
Prioritizing God’s Presence: The Israelites witnessed God’s glory filling the Tabernacle. How can you create space for God’s presence in your daily life?
Sacrifice as Worship: The burnt offering symbolized total surrender. Is there something in your life that God is asking you to surrender as an act of worship?
Responding to Sin: Leviticus emphasizes repentance and restoration. Do you have any areas in your life where you need to seek forgiveness or make things right?
Looking Ahead to Leviticus 7-16
Next time, we’ll explore:
Leviticus 7-10: More details on offerings and the priesthood, including the tragic story of Nadab and Abihu, who failed to approach God with reverence.
Leviticus 11-15: The clean and unclean laws, teaching Israel how to live set apart from surrounding nations.
Leviticus 16: The Day of Atonement, one of the most significant moments in Israel’s worship, pointing to Jesus as our ultimate High Priest.
These chapters will challenge us to think about holiness, obedience, and the cost of sin—but most importantly, they’ll point us to God’s grace that allows us to draw near.
I can’t wait to explore these truths with you!
Final Encouragement:

Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you next week!

Leviticus 5-6 | Owning Our Mistakes and Making Things Right
Friday Mar 07, 2025
Friday Mar 07, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we continue our journey through Leviticus 5-6, exploring the guilt offering and God’s instructions for confession, restitution, and making things right. These chapters remind us that sin affects both our relationship with God and our relationships with others. While we often struggle to admit our wrongs, God calls us to true repentance—one that involves not just confession, but action. Through Christ, we are completely forgiven, but that grace should lead us to a life of honesty, integrity, and restoration.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 5: This chapter addresses sins of omission—when someone unknowingly or unintentionally broke a command but later became aware of it. Instead of ignoring their mistakes, they were required to acknowledge their sin and bring a guilt offering to restore their standing before God.
Leviticus 6: This chapter expands on the guilt offering, focusing on sins that involved wronging others—stealing, deceiving, or failing to return what was entrusted to them. The offender was required to confess, make restitution, and add an extra portion to what was owed (Leviticus 6:5) before offering their sacrifice to God.
Key Themes or Lessons:
True Repentance Requires Action – Saying “I’m sorry” is important, but biblical repentance includes making amends (Leviticus 6:4-5). God calls us to take responsibility for our actions and, when possible, restore what was broken.
Sin Affects More Than Just Us – Many people think of sin as a personal issue, but Leviticus 6 reminds us that our choices impact those around us. Whether through deception, dishonesty, or neglect, our actions can harm relationships, and God calls us to seek both His forgiveness and reconciliation with others.
Jesus is Our Ultimate Guilt Offering – While Israel had to offer sacrifices for their sins, Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for us (Hebrews 10:10-12). Because of Him, we are completely forgiven—but His grace should lead us to live differently, walking in humility and restoration.
Devotional Application: "Owning Our Mistakes and Making Things Right"
Leviticus 5-6 challenges us to own up to our mistakes, even when they’re unintentional. We live in a culture that often minimizes sin, avoids responsibility, or shifts blame—but God calls His people to be different.
Confession isn’t about guilt—it’s about freedom. When we bring our failures before God, He is faithful to forgive (1 John 1:9), and when we take steps to make things right, we experience peace and restored relationships.
Here’s the heart of today’s message: True repentance isn’t just about words—it’s about action. If we’ve wronged someone, we shouldn’t just feel bad—we should seek to make it right. If we’ve neglected to do what is right, we should take responsibility and change course. This isn’t about earning forgiveness—it’s about living in the integrity and freedom that God desires for us.
Are we willing to admit when we’re wrong? And are we taking steps to restore what’s been broken?
Reflection Prompts:
Admitting When We’re Wrong: Leviticus 5 teaches that even unintentional sins required confession. Are there areas where you’ve been hesitant to acknowledge a mistake before God? What’s holding you back?
Restoring What’s Broken: God required restitution for wrongs committed against others. Is there someone in your life you need to reconcile with? What step can you take today to make things right?
Living with Integrity: A heart devoted to God values honesty and responsibility. How can you reflect God’s character by owning your mistakes, seeking forgiveness, and walking in truth?
Looking Ahead to Leviticus 7-8
Next time, we’ll explore:
Leviticus 7: Instructions on peace offerings and what it means to live in fellowship with God.
Leviticus 8: The ordination of Aaron and his sons, revealing God’s calling and preparation for leadership.
These chapters will challenge us to think about how we approach God in worship and how we serve Him in obedience.
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! If today’s episode encouraged you, share it with a friend or leave a review—it helps others grow in their love for God’s Word.
Remember, God’s grace isn’t an excuse to avoid responsibility—it’s an invitation to live in truth and restoration.
Let’s be people who humbly confess, seek forgiveness, and make things right.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you tomorrow!

Leviticus 3-4 | The Cost of Peace and Forgiveness
Thursday Mar 06, 2025
Thursday Mar 06, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we continue our journey through Leviticus 3-4, exploring the fellowship offering and the sin offering. These sacrifices reveal profound truths about our relationship with God—our need for peace with Him and the cost of forgiveness. While these Old Testament offerings may seem distant, they ultimately point us to Jesus, the perfect sacrifice. Join us as we reflect on how we can live in gratitude, obedience, and the peace that Christ has given us.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 3: The fellowship (peace) offering was a voluntary sacrifice meant to express gratitude and communion with God. Unlike other sacrifices, a portion was eaten, symbolizing shared fellowship between the worshiper and the Lord.
Leviticus 4: The sin offering was required when someone unintentionally sinned. This offering emphasized that even unintentional sins required atonement, showing the seriousness of sin and God's provision for restoration.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Worship is More Than Seeking Forgiveness – The peace offering was a reminder that God desires more than repentance—He longs for fellowship with us (Leviticus 3:16). Worship is about celebrating our relationship with Him, not just seeking something from Him.
Sin Has a Cost, Even When Unintentional – The sin offering shows that sin, even when committed unknowingly, separates us from God (Leviticus 4:2). But in His mercy, He provides a way for cleansing and restoration.
Jesus is Our Perfect Sacrifice – These offerings foreshadow Christ, who made the ultimate atonement for our sins (Hebrews 9:26). Because of Him, we don’t need repeated sacrifices—we have full forgiveness and lasting peace with God.
Devotional Application: "The Cost of Peace and Forgiveness"
The fellowship offering reminds us that worship is not just about repentance—it’s about celebrating God’s presence. Do we take time to thank God, enjoy His presence, and worship Him out of love rather than duty?
The sin offering teaches us that even unintentional sins need atonement. Sometimes, we ignore or downplay sin in our lives, but God calls us to bring it to Him and receive His cleansing.
Here’s the heart of today’s message: Forgiveness isn’t free—it comes at a cost. For Israel, that cost was a sacrificial offering, but for us, Jesus paid the price once and for all. Because of His sacrifice, we can live in peace with God—not just avoiding sin, but walking daily in gratitude and obedience.
Are we fully appreciating the gift of God’s forgiveness? And are we living in the peace He has given us?
Reflection Prompts:
Living in Gratitude: The fellowship offering was about celebrating peace with God. How can you cultivate a deeper sense of gratitude for your relationship with Him this week?
Responding to Sin: The sin offering showed that even unintentional sins required forgiveness. How do you respond when you recognize sin in your life? Do you bring it to God quickly, or do you ignore it?
Walking in Peace with God: Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we now have peace with God (Romans 5:1). How can you live in that peace daily, especially when you feel unworthy, discouraged, or distant from Him?
Looking Ahead to Leviticus 5-6
Next time, we’ll explore:
Leviticus 5: The guilt offering, which teaches us about taking responsibility for our wrongs.
Leviticus 6: Instructions for the priests, revealing how God calls us to integrity and faithfulness in worship.
These passages will challenge us to examine our hearts and see how God’s grace calls us to responsibility and restoration.
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! If today’s episode encouraged you, share it with a friend or leave a review—it helps others grow in their love for God’s Word.

Leviticus 1-2 | Leviticus: Holiness, Sacrifice, and Surrender
Wednesday Mar 05, 2025
Wednesday Mar 05, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we begin our journey through Leviticus, a book that reveals God's holiness and His desire for His people to live set apart. We start with Leviticus 1-2, where God introduces the burnt offering and the grain offering—sacrifices that symbolize total surrender and gratitude. These offerings remind us that worship is not just about rituals but about giving our whole hearts to God. Join us as we explore how these ancient practices point us to Christ and challenge us to live lives fully surrendered to Him.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 1: The burnt offering, completely consumed on the altar, symbolizes full devotion and surrender to God (Leviticus 1:9).
Leviticus 2: The grain offering, made of the finest flour, represents gratitude and dedication (Leviticus 2:1-2).
These offerings were not just religious duties but acts of worship that reflected the heart of the giver.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Total Surrender to God – The burnt offering required complete consumption by fire, illustrating full dedication. Similarly, Romans 12:1 calls us to be living sacrifices, surrendering every part of our lives to God.
Worship as a Daily Offering – The grain offering was given as a sign of thankfulness and devotion. Our daily choices—our attitudes, time, and actions—should reflect hearts devoted to God.
Christ, the Ultimate Sacrifice – These Old Testament offerings point forward to Jesus, who became the perfect sacrifice for our sins (Hebrews 10:10). Because of Him, we no longer need animal sacrifices, but we are still called to offer ourselves fully to God.
Devotional Application: "A Life of Surrender"
Leviticus may seem like a book of rituals, but its deeper message is about our response to a holy God.
God desires our whole hearts. Just as the burnt offering was completely given to God, He calls us to full devotion—not just in words but in how we live.
Worship goes beyond rituals. The grain offering was an act of gratitude. We, too, are called to live lives of thankfulness, recognizing that everything we have is from Him.
True worship is a lifestyle. Worship isn’t just what happens on Sunday; it’s in our obedience, our choices, and our daily surrender to God.
Are we truly offering our best to God, or are we holding something back?
Reflection Prompts:
Surrendering to God: The burnt offering symbolized complete dedication. Are there areas in your life where you’re holding back from God? What would it look like to surrender them fully?
Worship Beyond Rituals: The grain offering was an act of thanksgiving. How can you incorporate gratitude into your daily life as an act of worship?
Living as a Sacrifice: Romans 12:1 calls us to offer ourselves as living sacrifices. What is one practical way you can surrender more fully to God this week?
Looking Ahead to Leviticus 3-4
Next time, we’ll dive into:
Leviticus 3: The peace offering and what it teaches us about communion with God.
Leviticus 4: The sin offering and how God provides atonement for our failures.
We’ll see how these sacrifices point us to the grace of Jesus Christ and remind us that God’s mercy is always available.
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! If today’s episode encouraged you, share it with a friend or leave a review—it helps others grow in their love for God’s Word.
Remember: True worship isn’t about checking religious boxes—it’s about living fully for God. Let’s offer Him our best this week.
Until next time, keep your Bibles open and your faith strong. See you tomorrow!
