Episode Summary
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Numbers 7–8, where the Israelites bring generous offerings to dedicate the tabernacle, and the Levites are set apart for sacred service. These chapters remind us that true worship isn’t about grand gestures—it’s about giving our best to God with obedient, grateful hearts. Whether seen or unseen, your faithfulness matters to God and prepares you for meaningful service in His Kingdom.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage or Topic
Historical/Theological Context: The book of Numbers, authored by Moses, continues the account of Israel’s journey in the wilderness. Chapters 7–8 focus on the dedication of the tabernacle and the setting apart of the Levites, reinforcing God’s desire for wholehearted worship and service.
Purpose of These Chapters: These sections detail the offerings brought by Israel’s leaders and the consecration of the Levites, illustrating how God's people were to honor Him through their gifts and their roles.
Key Themes or Lessons
Offering Our Best
In Numbers 7, each tribe brings valuable offerings—generously and without competition. This teaches us that honoring God begins with intentional and sacrificial giving (Numbers 7:1–88).
Consecrated for Service
Numbers 8 highlights the purification and dedication of the Levites. Their sacred work points to the importance of spiritual preparation and living set apart (Numbers 8:5–26).
True Worship Is a Lifestyle
Worship extends beyond rituals—it involves our whole lives. Romans 12:1 connects this concept to modern believers, encouraging us to live as “living sacrifices,” pleasing to God.
Devotional Application
The heart of this episode is clear: God is worthy of our very best. Just as the Israelites brought their finest offerings and the Levites were carefully prepared for service, we too are called to live lives fully surrendered to God. Whether you’re in a visible role or serving quietly behind the scenes, your devotion matters. Worship is expressed through obedience, generosity, and day-by-day faithfulness—offered not out of obligation, but out of love.
Reflection Prompts
Giving Our Best What are you offering God right now—your leftovers or your first and best? How can you be more intentional about giving Him your time, gifts, or attention this week?
Serving Where You Are The Levites were called to sacred service. Where might God be asking you to step up and serve faithfully, even if no one else sees?
Living a Worshipful Life Romans 12:1 invites us to be living sacrifices. What changes can you make in your daily habits or mindset to reflect a life of wholehearted worship?
Additional Details
This episode gently reminds us that God sees the heart behind our actions. Whether you’re offering prayers in secret or serving behind the scenes, your faithfulness honors Him. Don’t underestimate the impact of small, consistent devotion—it matters deeply in God’s Kingdom.

Episode Summary
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Numbers 5–6 and uncover God’s heart for purity, restoration, and complete devotion. These chapters offer practical and spiritual guidance on how to live a life that reflects God’s holiness—not just by avoiding sin, but by actively pursuing a deeper relationship with Him. Tune in to be reminded that God doesn’t desire part of us—He wants all of us, fully set apart for His glory.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage or Topic
Context & Authorship: The book of Numbers, written by Moses, continues the Israelites' journey through the wilderness after their exodus from Egypt. These chapters form part of God's instructions to prepare them for life in His presence and for entrance into the Promised Land.
Purpose of Numbers 5–6: These chapters deal with maintaining purity in the community, restoring broken relationships, and the special Nazirite vow—a voluntary act of personal consecration to God.
Key Themes or Lessons
Pursuing Holiness
Numbers 5 stresses that sin—whether personal or relational—requires acknowledgment and restoration. Holiness is not passive; it’s an active pursuit of God’s character (Numbers 5:5–10).
Wholehearted Devotion
The Nazirite vow in Numbers 6 was a symbol of intentional dedication to God, even beyond what was required. It reflected a heart that desired deeper intimacy and set-apart living (Numbers 6:1–21).
Blessing of God's Presence
Numbers 6 concludes with the priestly blessing (vv. 22–27), a beautiful reminder that God delights to bless, keep, and give peace to those who belong to Him.
Devotional Application
The heart of today’s episode is this: God desires our full devotion, not just part-time faith. While we may not take a Nazirite vow, we’re still called to live set apart. Holiness isn't about checking religious boxes; it’s about surrendering every part of our lives to reflect God’s character. When we pursue purity, seek restoration, and choose to live with wholehearted devotion, we experience deeper intimacy with our Savior.
Reflection Prompts
Pursuing Holiness What habits, thoughts, or routines might be pulling you away from God's presence? What intentional steps can you take this week to pursue a life that honors Him?
Wholehearted Devotion What would it look like for you to commit more fully to God in this season? Is there a specific area of your life He’s asking you to surrender or set apart?
Living Set Apart Are there spaces—at work, in your relationships, or in your thought life—where God is calling you to live differently? How can you reflect His holiness in those areas?
Additional Details
This episode invites us to see holiness not as a burden, but as a beautiful invitation into deeper relationship with our loving God. Like the Nazirite vow, our lives can visibly reflect our inward devotion when we choose obedience and wholehearted pursuit of God’s presence.
Closing Encouragement
Thanks for tuning in to No Dusty Bibles! Remember: you are not just called to avoid sin—you are called to shine for Christ. Whether through quiet faithfulness or bold acts of devotion, God sees your heart and delights in your surrender.
Until next time, stay in the Word and trust in His promises. See you next time!

Episode Summary
In today’s episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Numbers 3–4 and discover how God assigned specific roles to the Levites for the care and transportation of the Tabernacle. These chapters remind us that every act of service—no matter how behind-the-scenes or seemingly small—is valuable and significant in God's Kingdom. Tune in to be encouraged that God has uniquely placed you where you are, and He sees your faithful service.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage or Topic
Historical Context: Written by Moses during Israel’s wilderness journey, the book of Numbers documents the organization of God’s people and their preparation for entering the Promised Land.
Purpose of Chapters 3–4: These chapters focus on the Levites, the tribe chosen by God to serve in the Tabernacle. They were not included in the general census for battle but were instead set apart for spiritual service and the care of sacred spaces.
Key Themes or Lessons
God Assigns Purpose: Each Levite clan was given a distinct role—guarding, carrying, or assembling the Tabernacle—emphasizing that every task had spiritual value (Numbers 3:5–10).
No Role Is Insignificant: Whether public or private, each responsibility was sacred and necessary for worship. Paul echoes this truth in 1 Corinthians 12:18, affirming that God places every part of the body exactly as He wills.
Obedience Is Worship: The Levites’ faithfulness in mundane or logistical tasks was an offering of worship. Their service made space for God’s presence to dwell among His people.
Devotional Application
The heart of the message is this: You are called to serve, and your role matters deeply to God.Even if your work feels unnoticed or ordinary, it is not overlooked by the One who called you. Faithfulness in the small things reflects your devotion to God, and He uses every act of obedience to build His Kingdom. Let Numbers 3–4 remind you that your role has eternal significance, no matter how unseen it may feel.
Reflection Prompts
Serving Faithfully What specific task, relationship, or role has God placed in your life right now? How can you approach it with fresh purpose and joy, knowing it matters to Him?
Recognizing the Value of Every Role Have you been comparing your calling to someone else’s? What steps can you take to refocus on God’s purpose for your life rather than measuring your significance by visibility?
Honoring God in Your Work Whether at home, work, or in ministry, how can you intentionally dedicate your responsibilities to God this week as an act of worship?
Additional Details
This episode reminds us that God is a God of purpose and detail. Just as He assigned the Levites specific tasks, He has equipped you with a calling that serves a greater plan. Your quiet obedience, steadfast service, and daily faithfulness are part of a holy legacy that honors the Lord.
Closing Encouragement
Thank you for joining me on No Dusty Bibles! Wherever you serve—on a stage, at a desk, in a classroom, or around the dinner table—God sees you, values you, and has placed you there for such a time as this.
Let’s serve with joy, trusting that every act done in love is part of something eternal.
Until next time, stay in the Word and trust in His promises. See you next time!

Episode Summary
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we begin our journey through the book of Numbers with an overview and a deep dive into chapters 1 and 2. While these chapters focus on census numbers and camp arrangement, they reveal something much more personal—God sees, counts, and assigns each person a role in His plan. From ancient Israel to your everyday life, this episode reminds us that God is a God of order, and He’s placed you exactly where you need to be.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage or Topic
Authorship and Context: Traditionally attributed to Moses, the book of Numbers documents Israel’s journey from Mount Sinai to the edge of the Promised Land (circa 1446–1406 BC). It was written for a new generation of Israelites learning to trust and follow God.
Purpose: Numbers teaches God’s faithfulness despite Israel’s failures and shows how obedience brings blessing, while disobedience brings consequences. The early chapters establish the structure and order of God’s people before they begin their journey.
Key Themes or Lessons
God of Order and Purpose: In Numbers 1, God calls for a census, not to inflate statistics, but to give structure and purpose to each tribe. Each person was counted because each life mattered.
God at the Center: In Numbers 2, the camp is organized around the Tabernacle—God’s dwelling place. This visual structure reminded the Israelites (and us) to keep God at the center of every aspect of life.
Faith Over Fear: Though not yet fully explored in these chapters, the coming tension between faith and fear is hinted at through this preparation phase. The structure God provides is a foundation for faithful obedience.
Devotional Application
The census and camp arrangement may seem like dry logistics, but they remind us that God sees us, knows where we belong, and gives us purpose. Just like the Israelites weren’t random wanderers, you aren’t randomly placed in your job, family, or community. God’s people were arranged to reflect His holiness and presence—and so are we.
Ephesians 2:10 affirms this truth: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Even in life’s wilderness seasons, God has not lost track of you.
Reflection Prompts
Recognizing Your Purpose In what areas of your life do you feel unseen or uncertain? How can you trust that God has placed you there for a reason?
Keeping God at the Center What routines or habits can you create (or return to) that help you center your life around God’s presence each day?
Trusting God’s Order Is there an area in your life where you’re resisting God’s arrangement or direction? What would it look like to surrender that today?
Additional Details
This episode opens a powerful new section of the Bible—Numbers is a book of movement, discipline, and discovery. As we travel with Israel through their wilderness journey, we’re invited to evaluate our own spiritual walk: Are we trusting God’s path? Are we embracing our role in His Kingdom? You are not just a name on a list—you’re a valuable part of God's redemptive story.
Closing Encouragement

Leviticus 27 | Living Set Apart
Episode Summary
In this final episode of our journey through Leviticus, we explore chapter 27—a passage centered on dedicating our lives, resources, and commitments to the Lord. This chapter reminds us that worship is more than rituals; it's a lifestyle of surrender and holiness. Join us as we reflect on what it means to offer our whole lives as a living sacrifice and live fully set apart for God.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage or Topic
Authorship & Purpose: Leviticus, written by Moses, concludes with a focus on vows and dedications—an extension of the book's core message of holiness and devotion.
Context: Chapter 27 covers voluntary offerings and the valuation of people, animals, houses, and land that were vowed to God. These vows were considered sacred and binding.
Purpose: To show that everything dedicated to God is holy and must be treated with honor and integrity.
Key Themes or Lessons
Holiness Extends to Our Commitments – Making a vow or offering to the Lord was not a casual action; it reflected one’s desire to honor God with their life and possessions (Leviticus 27:9-10).
Living Sacrifices – As followers of Christ, we are called to offer ourselves daily to God, not out of obligation, but as an act of love and worship (Romans 12:1).
Wholehearted Devotion – God desires our full surrender, not partial offerings. Our time, talents, and treasures are all opportunities to reflect our devotion.
Devotional Application
At the heart of Leviticus 27 is this truth: what we dedicate to God matters. While we no longer bring livestock or grain, God still calls us to live with open hands, offering our lives in worship. This means our daily decisions, relationships, and responsibilities can be acts of devotion. We are reminded that God honors what we give in faith—even when it feels small. As we wrap up Leviticus, we’re invited to take inventory: What have we set apart for the Lord? And are we willing to offer Him everything?
Reflection Prompts
Dedicating Our Lives to God What areas of your life have you fully surrendered to God, and what areas do you still struggle to trust Him with?
Whole-Life Worship How can you worship God with your daily actions this week—in your work, your relationships, or your routines?
Responding to God’s Holiness What has challenged you most about God’s call to holiness through Leviticus? How will you carry that forward in your faith journey?
Additional Details
Leviticus may not be the easiest read, but it lays a rich foundation for understanding the holiness of God, the depth of our need for grace, and the beauty of a life set apart. As we look ahead to Numbers, let’s remember: we don’t walk in holiness alone—Jesus has made a way.
Closing Encouragement
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! As you reflect on this final chapter of Leviticus, remember: God sees what you offer, honors what you surrender, and uses it for His glory.
Until next time, stay in the Word and trust in His promises. See you soon!

Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 17-26, where God calls His people to live set apart, trust His provision, and walk in obedience. These chapters emphasize that holiness is not just about rules—it’s about a life fully devoted to God. Join us as we reflect on the Year of Jubilee, the blessings of obedience, and the power of trusting God’s timing, even when life feels uncertain.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 17-20 – God gives laws on worship, moral conduct, and purity, calling Israel to avoid the sinful ways of the nations around them.
Leviticus 21-22 – Instructions for the priests, who were called to model holiness and offer sacrifices in a way that honored God.
Leviticus 23-24 – The appointed feasts teach Israel to remember God’s faithfulness, while keeping the lamps burning in the tabernacle symbolizes His continual presence.
Leviticus 25 – The Year of Jubilee commands rest for the land, forgiveness of debts, and freedom for slaves, reinforcing that God is the ultimate provider.
Leviticus 26 – God lays out the blessings for obedience and the consequences of disobedience, reminding His people that their choices matter.
Through these chapters, we see that holiness is not about legalism, but about living in full trust and obedience to God.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee required radical trust in God’s provision, teaching that everything ultimately belongs to Him (Leviticus 25:23).
Walking in Obedience – God promises blessings, security, and His presence to those who walk in His ways (Leviticus 26:3-12).
Finding True Rest – The Sabbath rest for the land symbolized reliance on God rather than striving in human effort (Leviticus 25:4-6).
Devotional Application: "Trusting God’s Timing and Provision"
Have you ever struggled with trusting God’s timing? Maybe you’ve been waiting for an answer, a breakthrough, or provision—and it feels like God is moving too slowly.
The Year of Jubilee was a radical act of faith. Imagine being told to stop working the land for a full year and simply trust that God would provide. Fear and doubt must have crept in:
What if there wasn’t enough food?
What if letting go of debts meant financial ruin?
Yet, God promised:
“I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.” – Leviticus 25:21
Here’s the heart of today’s message: God’s provision is always enough, and His timing is always perfect.
We may not have a literal Year of Jubilee today, but we are still called to trust God’s provision over our own plans. Jesus affirms this in Matthew 6:33:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
So, what are you holding onto that God is asking you to release? His faithfulness never fails, and when we surrender control, we step into the freedom and provision He has already prepared.
Reflection Prompts:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee reminded Israel that everything belongs to God. In what areas of your life do you struggle to trust His timing and provision?
Walking in Obedience – Leviticus 26 highlights the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. How can you align your daily choices with God’s will to experience the fullness of His blessings?
Finding True Rest – The Sabbath rest was a reminder that God is the provider. Are you making space for regular rest and reliance on God, or are you striving in your own strength?
Teaser for Next Week’s Readings: Leviticus 27 - Numbers 8
Next week, we wrap up Leviticus and move into Numbers, where we see God preparing His people for their journey ahead.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Leviticus 27 – Final instructions about dedicating things to the Lord.
Numbers 1-4 – The census of Israel, their organization, and preparation to follow God’s leading.
Numbers 5-8 – Laws for purity, the Nazirite vow, and God’s blessings over His people.
These chapters show that God is always preparing us for what’s ahead, just as He prepares us today for the seasons He’s leading us into.
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! God’s provision is always enough, His timing is always perfect, and His blessings come when we trust Him fully.

Leviticus 25-26 | Trusting God’s Timing and Blessings
Friday Mar 21, 2025
Friday Mar 21, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 25-26, where God introduces Sabbath rest, the Year of Jubilee, and the blessings of obedience. These chapters remind us that God’s timing, provision, and faithfulness never fail—and when we trust Him fully, He provides everything we need. Join us as we discuss how to surrender control, walk in obedience, and rest in God’s perfect plan for our lives.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 25 – God commands Israel to observe a Sabbath rest for the land every seven years and a Year of Jubilee every 50 years. This time of restoration and renewal ensured debts were forgiven, land was returned, and people were set free.
Leviticus 26 – God lays out the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience, showing that true security comes from following His ways.
These chapters emphasize that God’s plan is always best, and trusting His timing leads to freedom and blessing.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee was a powerful reminder that everything belongs to God, and He will provide in His perfect time (Leviticus 25:23).
Walking in Obedience – God promises abundance, security, and His presence to those who follow His commands (Leviticus 26:3-12).
Finding True Rest – The Sabbath rest for the land symbolized dependence on God’s provision rather than striving in human effort (Leviticus 25:4-6).
Devotional Application: "Letting Go and Trusting God"
Many of us struggle with letting go of control—whether it’s over our finances, future plans, or daily responsibilities. The Israelites faced a similar challenge: every seven years, they had to stop farming their land and trust God to provide. Imagine the faith that required!
The Year of Jubilee was even more radical—it meant releasing debts, setting slaves free, and restoring what had been lost. Why? Because God wanted His people to know that their security came from Him, not their own efforts.
And the same is true for us today. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” When we put God first, He takes care of the rest.
So today, let’s stop striving and start trusting. Let’s surrender our plans, embrace His timing, and rest in His faithfulness.
Reflection Prompts:
Trusting God’s Timing – The Year of Jubilee reminded Israel that everything ultimately belongs to God. In what areas of your life do you struggle to trust His timing and provision?
Walking in Obedience – Leviticus 26 highlights the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. How can you align your daily choices with God’s will to experience the fullness of His blessings?
Finding True Rest – The land’s Sabbath rest was a reminder that God is the provider. Are you making space for regular rest and reliance on God, or are you striving in your own strength?

Leviticus 23-24 | Remembering and Reflecting God's Light
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Thursday Mar 20, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we dive into Leviticus 23-24, where God establishes sacred festivals and reminds His people of their call to be a light in the world. These chapters show us how intentional rhythms of worship and obedience help us stay connected to God and reflect His holiness. Join us as we explore how we can honor God’s presence in our daily lives and shine His light in a world that needs Him.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 23 – God establishes the appointed feasts for Israel, including Passover, the Feast of Weeks, and the Day of Atonement. These were holy days of rest, worship, and remembrance that pointed to God’s faithfulness and provision.
Leviticus 24 – Instructions about keeping the lampstand burning continually in the tabernacle, symbolizing God’s presence among His people. This chapter also includes a warning about misusing God’s name, reinforcing the need for reverence and obedience.
These passages emphasize that worship isn’t just an event—it’s a lifestyle of remembering God and living in a way that honors Him.
Key Themes or Lessons:
The Importance of Remembrance – The festivals were not just traditions; they were God-ordained times to pause, worship, and remember His faithfulness (Exodus 12:14, Leviticus 23:43).
Shining God's Light – The lampstand in the tabernacle symbolized God’s constant presence, and we are called to be His light in the world (Matthew 5:16).
Honoring God in Word and Action – Leviticus 24 warns against misusing God’s name and challenges us to live with reverence and obedience in everything we do (Colossians 3:17).
Devotional Application: "Keeping the Flame Burning"
Life gets busy, and in the rush of daily responsibilities, it’s easy to forget to pause and acknowledge God’s presence. That’s why God commanded Israel to observe sacred times of worship—not because He needed their sacrifices, but because they needed the reminder.
The festivals in Leviticus 23 served as spiritual anchors, helping the people refocus on God’s goodness. Likewise, we need intentional rhythms of rest, worship, and reflection to keep our faith strong.
And then there’s the lampstand in Leviticus 24—kept burning as a symbol of God’s presence among His people. Jesus calls us to be that light in the world (Matthew 5:16). Just as the priests carefully tended the flames, we must tend to our spiritual lives, staying close to God through prayer, scripture, and obedience.
So today, let’s be intentional:
Pause to remember what God has done.
Keep our spiritual flame burning.
Live in a way that reflects His holiness.
Reflection Prompts:
Setting Aside Time for God – The feasts in Leviticus 23 were reminders of God’s faithfulness. What rhythms of rest, worship, or remembrance can you build into your life to keep your focus on God?
Being a Light in the World – The lampstand in the tabernacle symbolized God’s presence among His people. How can you reflect God’s light in your daily interactions and choices?
Honoring God’s Name – Leviticus 24 warns about misusing God’s name and calls for reverence. In what ways do your words and actions honor or dishonor God in everyday life?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! God calls us to pause, remember, and shine His light in a dark world. Let’s be intentional this week in how we reflect Him—whether through worship, the way we speak, or how we love others.
Next week, we’ll explore Leviticus 25-26, where we’ll discuss the Sabbath Year, the Year of Jubilee, and God’s promises for obedience.
Until then, keep your faith strong, your light shining, and your Bible open. See you next time!

Leviticus 21-22 | Honoring God in Every Area of Life
Wednesday Mar 19, 2025
Wednesday Mar 19, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we explore Leviticus 21-22, where God calls the priests to a higher standard of holiness, reminding us that honoring Him isn’t just about public worship—it’s about how we live every day. These chapters challenge us to give God our best, not just in sacrifices but in every aspect of life. Join us as we discuss what it means to reflect God’s holiness in our daily choices, relationships, and worship.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 21 – Instructions for the priests to live set apart, ensuring their lives reflected God’s holiness in their personal choices, family matters, and even in how they mourned.
Leviticus 22 – Guidelines for acceptable sacrifices, emphasizing that offerings to God should be given with reverence and without defect, demonstrating wholehearted worship.
These laws reinforced the idea that holiness wasn’t just about rituals—it was about a lifestyle of devotion to a holy God.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness in Every Area of Life – The priests weren’t only called to holiness inside the Tabernacle, but in their personal lives as well. In the same way, our faith should shape how we live, speak, and act daily.
Giving God Our Best – Leviticus 22 teaches that sacrifices were to be without defect, reflecting the principle that God deserves our best, not our leftovers (Colossians 3:23).
Being Set Apart for God’s Glory – As believers, we are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), called to reflect God’s holiness in a way that draws others to Him.
Devotional Application: "Holiness is a Lifestyle, Not Just a Ritual"
It’s easy to compartmentalize our faith—acting one way at church and another way at work, at home, or with friends. But Leviticus 21-22 challenges us to honor God in everything we do.
Holiness isn’t about checking religious boxes—it’s about a heart devoted to God.
The priests were held to a higher standard because they represented God to the people. As followers of Christ, we also represent Him in the way we live.
Worship wasn’t meant to be careless or routine—God’s instructions on sacrifice remind us that He deserves our best, not just when it’s convenient.
Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Every part of our lives can be an act of worship when we do it for Him.
So today, let’s live with purpose—giving God our best in our actions, thoughts, and relationships.
Reflection Prompts:
Whole-Life Worship – The priests were called to reflect God’s holiness in every area of their lives. What areas of your daily life do you find it hardest to live in a way that honors God?
Giving God Our Best – Leviticus 22 emphasizes that sacrifices were to be without defect. Are there areas in your spiritual life where you’ve been giving God less than your best? How can you be more intentional in your devotion?
Living Set Apart – We are called to be “a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9). How can you embrace holiness in a way that reflects God’s love rather than feeling like a list of rules?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness isn’t just about rules—it’s about a relationship with a holy God. When we live set apart for Him, we reflect His goodness, love, and grace to the world.
Next week, we’ll explore Leviticus 23-24, where we’ll dive into God’s appointed festivals and what they teach us about worship and rest.
Until then, let’s live fully devoted to God—honoring Him in every moment! See you next time!

Leviticus 19-20 | Living Holy in a World That Isn’t
Tuesday Mar 18, 2025
Tuesday Mar 18, 2025
Episode Summary:
In this episode of No Dusty Bibles, we dive into Leviticus 19-20, where God gives practical instructions on how His people are to live set apart. Holiness isn’t just about avoiding sin—it’s about reflecting God’s character in our relationships, actions, and choices. These chapters remind us that holiness is a daily commitment, not just a religious concept. Join us as we explore what it means to live holy in a world that isn’t and how we can embrace this calling with joy.
Key Highlights from the Episode
Overview of the Passage:
Leviticus 19 – God outlines practical laws for holy living, including loving neighbors, honesty in business, respecting parents, caring for the poor, and upholding justice.
Leviticus 20 – A strong warning against conforming to the sinful practices of surrounding cultures, emphasizing that God's people must separate themselves from unrighteousness.
These laws weren’t just rules to follow—they were meant to shape a people who reflected God’s holiness in every aspect of life.
Key Themes or Lessons:
Holiness is More Than Avoiding Sin – Many think holiness is about what we don’t do, but Leviticus 19 shows that holiness is actively lived out through love, justice, and integrity.
God’s People Are Called to Stand Apart – Leviticus 20 warns Israel not to imitate the world’s values. In the same way, we are called to resist cultural pressures and align our lives with God’s truth.
Holiness Reflects God’s Goodness – 1 Peter 1:15-16 says, “Be holy in all that you do, for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’” Holiness isn’t about legalism—it’s about devotion to God and pointing others to His goodness.
Devotional Application: "Holiness is a Calling, Not a Burden"
We often think of holiness as restrictive—a list of things we can’t do. But in reality, holiness is an invitation to live fully for God.
God calls us to be set apart not to make our lives difficult, but to make our lives meaningful. Holiness shapes our character, our choices, and our impact on the world. It’s not about perfection—it’s about a heart devoted to God.
Leviticus 19 reminds us that holiness is practical:
How we treat others.
How we conduct our work.
How we uphold justice and care for those in need.
When we live set apart, we reflect God’s goodness in a world that desperately needs Him. Holiness isn’t a burden—it’s a calling.
Reflection Prompts:
Holiness in Action – Leviticus 19 connects holiness with practical kindness and justice. What are some ways you can reflect God’s holiness in your daily relationships and interactions?
Resisting Cultural Pressure – Leviticus 20 warns against conforming to sinful practices. Are there areas where culture is shaping your values more than God’s Word? How can you stand firm in your faith?
Living as God’s People – Holiness isn’t about perfection but about being set apart for God. How can you embrace a life of holiness as an opportunity to reflect God’s goodness rather than a burden?
Final Encouragement:
Thank you for joining me today on No Dusty Bibles! Remember, holiness is more than just avoiding sin—it’s about living fully for God.
Next week, we’ll explore Leviticus 21-22, where we’ll see God’s instructions for the priesthood and what it means to be an example of holiness.
Until then, let’s walk in our calling with joy! See you next time!
